Byron is an almost “exotic” place between contrast and varied food
The restaurant you would never expect…
It is placed in a quite new area of Bergamo city, full of buildings on the one hand, but also very near to the city center on the other. It is a place you must enter in, without letting the exterior deceive you.
This is a restaurant you would never expect, because of its colonial and exotic style that welcomes you when you enter in and that cannot but embrace you and ignite your soul and your heart too. “I created this contrast on purpose – Says Dorilio, the restaurant owner – because in spite of the fact that we are in an urban zone, I wanted my customers to feel a sensation of warmth and comfort as if they were eating outdoors, in a sort of garden”.
The name origin of this restaurant is related to the English poet Lord Byron, a great traveler with an eccentric personality. In a sense, this place gives you the opportunity to go on a real trip, it makes you travel with your imagination.
The proposal of Byron, a restaurant in Bergamo city
The high quality raw materials, which are worked and mixed with much fantasy, are strong suit of our enogastronomic proposal, which is suitable for all tastes and needs; our dishes make our customers travel around the world, between recipes, flavors and perfumes of both local and foreign countries. All this can be realized thanks to our chef Simon Maringoni, who works harder and harder to make the enogastronomic proposal of this restaurant in Bergamo as concrete as possible.
The work philosophy of Byron restaurant is to be original and counter-tendency, without following a specific style or trend.
The menu is composed by different kinds of popular food typical of the cooking tradition of Bergamo, Italy, Asia and Spain. It offers not only many meat dishes, cooked for much time at a low temperature, but also street food and hamburgers. From sushi to Burrito (Rice prepared following the Japanese recipe, shrimp tempura, avocado, spicy mayo and vegetables) , “Momofuku” buns (Korean steamed bread, chicken, chili pepper, Asiatic sauce and vegetables) and Asiatic cooking mixed with the Italian tastes, cooked with wok and with very few and exclusively vegetal seasonings, to get a light, fresh and particular taste. The “casoncelli” (Ravioli typical of Bergamo) and the “Delicious DOP”, made with Italian selected, high quality products, are another essential part of the menu.
The culinary offer also comprehends pizza, made not only with the traditional dough, but also with the one submitted to a natural levitation process, or with the integral, multi cereal and without yeast ones.
